Confessions From Your Closet is a social-first campaign that gives secondhand fashion a personality. Through stories and bold style, we show how pre-loved pieces carry more than just history - they carry confidence, creativity and a second chance to be seen.

ConfessionsFrom YourCloset
A social campaign that gives secondhand fashion a personality and gives every previously loved piece another chance to be seen.
Make secondhand stand out.
Build a social campaign that increases engagement by 15% while preserving the individuality Buffalo Exchange is known for.
In a crowded resale category shaped by fast social trends, Buffalo Exchange needed an idea with enough personality to stop the scroll and enough flexibility to live across photography, writing and film.
Belonging, without blending in.
People long to fit in, but crave individuality.
Second Chances
Turn each thrifted item into a character with a past. Through “Confessions From Your Closet,” secondhand pieces reveal the stories of their former lives and invite someone new to write the next chapter.
Confessions in motion.
Three short form videos bring the campaign voice into the store and let the pieces tell their stories in real time.
The Problem
Secondhand fashion is often overlooked, misunderstood, or seen as a last resort.
It lacks the spotlight it deserves in a world of fast fashion.
Our Solution
We give secondhand fashion a voice. By letting the clothes “confess” their past, we create emotional connections that make secondhand feel iconic, aspirational, and cool.
A series of confession-style posts that turn pre-loved pieces into icons with a past.
Social Media
“Never seen an outfit I couldn’t complete and always made sure she was polished head to toe (literally). It’s not me. It’s her.”
“I was their favorite bag for all occasions. I traveled to Spain, the mall and every party. Now she has a new bestie… and I need one too.”
“I was in a garage band. We played in backyards and basements, but alas, the band broke up. I’m ready for my next stage.”
“I was strapped to a tech bro who survived on three energy drinks a day. I’ve entered my relaxation era.”
“Born to run errands, forced to run numbers. If you feel the same, let's link up.”
“I was worn by someone who joined every team sport—even the ones they didn’t understand. I’m still confused about Quidditch, but ready to give it another run.”
“Nothing says life of the party like me. I’ll make sure you’re spotlighted and get you ready for a closeup.”
“I’ve been on good dates, bad dates and everything in between. Don’t ghost me—make the most of we.”
“They went vegan. Now I’m available at Buffalo Exchange.”
